Alongisde the squat racks, dumbbells and
barbells in North Cobb’s weight room hangs
a bell. Just feet from a whiteboard detailing
the team’s maximum rep leaders, coach
Shane Q ueen said the bell is rung to signify
a player hitting a new maximum personal
goal.
He said there’s not a day of summer practice
it doesn’t ring.
“We’ve had the best offseason that I’ve
had in 29 years as a coach,” said Q ueen,
who has coached at North Cobb since 2006 .
“We don’t even use the term ‘ offseason’
