Needless to say, the invitations set the tone for
an elegant event and Archambault’s eye for design
delivered a dramtic setting.
“Because I have an aesthetically driven background
with graphic design, et cetera, and Amanda
has such attention to detail, it all came togther,”
says Hyatt, but not without the overwhelming help
of Layson, who loves to cook and entertain, and
who Hyatt calls their cheerleader.
“Patty is such a positive person and we love
having that positivity around when you need that
boost,” she says. “She is a very inclusive person and
very kind in general.”
Building on the success of the holiday event, the
Mists were on a roll and word was getting around.
While the original concept was designed for newcomers,
the trio began to have Madison natives
asking for invitations to the next event and had
others reaching out from Covington, Athens and
surrounding areas.
“Our events are always going to focus on bringing
in new people, but we don’t want to exclude people
who really want to come,” says Hyatt.
So the Mists set a goal of doing a quarterly supper
club event that casts a wider net and gets the
broader community involved.
“e whole reason behind all of this is to just
foster community,” explains Hyatt. “Our main goal
is to be inclusive not exclusive,” says Hyatt.
