About 80 fellow Misfits came out to the idyllic Hundred Acre Farm to enjoy an afternoon of Southern
fare, lawn games, and live music. They left with full bellies, fun Misfits ‘swag’ like beer koozies and ball
caps, and hopefully a new friend or two.
Mists held its rst “Taste of the South” at the newly
renovated Farmhouse Inn at Hundred Acre Farm in
the Madison countryside.
About 80 fellow Mists came out to enjoy signature
Southern fare, lawn games on the idyllic grounds,
and live bluegrass by the Silver Strings Bluegrass
Band.
e menu oerings included a raw bar with Blue
Point Oysters, gumbo from Harvest & Honey in
Rutledge, biscuits from the Cafe Race food truck, and
Layson’s own delectable bread pudding.
e day’s libations included a handcrafted Bloody
Mary bar, local craft beer from Oconee Brewing
Co., and a bourbon tasting station with a variety of

whiskeys.

“We make zero prot from this. is is purely for
fun,” says Hyatt. “It’s a lot of hard work but we want to
make sure everyone gets what they pay for and hopefully
establish a good friend group doing this.”
e next supper club event is planned for the end of
summer or early fall at a private home in Madison.
Hyatt says the supper club has spiraled into smaller
clubs like the book club she and Layson just recetly
started with 15 to 20 other Mists.
