creating charcuterie for dogs?”
Yu-Nguyen’s aesthetically-pleasing boards aren’t just easy
on the eyes, but also on pups’sensitive tummies.
“It’s healthier in the long run for the dogs than other types
of dog treats,” she explains.
Yu-Nguyen ensures that each board is comprised of
“single ingredient” proteins, such as bison, lamb, and Mahi
Mahi. She then includes “unique snacks” without any arti-
cial preservatives to compliment the avors of the protein
source that are both tasty and nourishing.
“is is a key component to our line,” says Yu-Nguyen.
“Our boards last four to six weeks, which isn’t as long as
other doggy treat packages, but they are way healthier.”
Yu-Nguyen began assembling the creatively-crafted
Barkuterie Boards and delivering them to customers in the
Metro-Atlanta area. When she received inquiries outside of
her delivery range, she went back to the drawing board to
customize a line of shippable and non-perishable Barkuterie
Boards for canines across the country.Barkuterie
Boards now ships nationwide and even to Canada.
“It’s kind of wild to have people asking about us from
across the country,” says Yu-Nguyen, who was featured in
the New York Times last April, which further publicized
her one-of-kind canine product gaining in popularity.
“I never would have dreamed we could come this far, but
I think it truly is a great way to create fun experiences for
people and their pets,” said Yu-Nguyen. “It’s been some
rough times for folks who are pet parents, but our dogs
have been there for us and havebeen a boost to our mental
health. is is a way to show them you love them.”
With plenty of options available, “pet parents” in the Lake
Oconee area can give their pups this tasty treat over the
summer while lounging near the lake.
“Lake life is just perfect for a Barkuterie Board,” says
Yu-Nguyen. “You’re there relaxing with friends and family,
who often bring along their dogs. is is a great way to
include your dog as everyone is convening over food and
having good times together.”
