décor, trim levels and features, it can be whatever
you want it to be.
“e layouts are all dierent and there’s a whole school
of thought as to which one is better,” says Garrett, who
went from a futon in the front and back to a platform

bed to a corner twin, until she found a ow that worked
for her and her partner, Steve Cook. “Fortunately, I live
with a carpenter,” she laughs.
Hackney says he and his wife do a lot of entertaining
during bad weather, so they chose a oor plan conducive
to having guests.
“ere is no best layout, it’s whatever works for you,”
says Hackney.
Carol and Erik van Dyck are continually updating and
customizing their Airstream.
