TROUBLE SHOOTING HEAT TRANSFER VINYL
ISSUE: SOLUTION:
Transfer not sticking to the garment Do not press too long or above the suggested tempature.
Same is true in not pressing long enough and not up to the suggested tempature.
If HTV still will not stick try letting it cool completely and cold peel.
Apply rubbing alcohol to a cloth and gently rub the area on the garment.
Smooth design back down. Repress for 50% of the original press time.
Peel off the carrier from a different corner when it has reached the specified cure time
HTV is not weeding correctly Usually it has to do with how the material was cut. Before plotting the design, perform
test cuts and adjust blade depth and speed accordingly.
When doing a test cut, make sure the machine is cutting 90 degree angles in the outer box.
Blade is cutting into the carrier to far Lessen the depth and do another cut
Blade is not cutting deep enough Increase the blade down force and test again
D a v e's Ti p
Blade angle is not performing proper cuts A 45 degree blade works on most materials. Recommend using a 60 degree blade for thicker materials
