An August Adventure
The Ocmulgee Archaeological Society
(OAS), in partnership with the Old School
History Museum in Eatonton, will hold
its “Archaeology Day” on Saturday, Aug.
7, from noon to 4:00 p.m. This event is
free and open to the public and offers an
afternoon of family-friendly archaeological
activity and education while celebrating
Georgia’s archaeological treasures.
This year’s Old School History Museum
Archaeology Day at the Plaza Arts Center
in downtown Eatonton will feature artifact
identification, pottery making, primitive
skills, Native American stories and games,
a Union Church Churchyard Tour, period
re-enactors, and a special guest speaker.

Retrospective Exhibition at Madison Artists

hosts a theatre summer camp from 9 a.m. to
12:30 p.m. for rising 2nd-5th grades. The cost
is $150. Campers will explore acting, song,
and dance from traditional cultures around
the world, culminating with a performance for
family and friends at the end of the week.
