audiences – those living with depression
and their loved ones.
Jonathan V. L Kiser (SHHS ’76)

Gerald Sindell (SHHS ’62) is an
award-winning Hollywood director and
author of the novel Elinor & Shakespeare.
The story centers
on the plague of
1593, which has
closed London
theatres. As
Shakespeare
travels north to
Sheffield, he meets
Dr. Elinor Sneshell,
who is tracking
how the plague is
spreading. The two fall in love and the
story ends in London, where readers
