Quality of care, close to home
The Madison Assisted
Living brings
a fresh opportunity
for unique downtown
living to the world of
senior communities.
The Madison Assisted
Living offers 36 units
and is now welcoming
residents into its stunning
newly-opened
building off Hancock
Street in downtown
Madison.
The entrance is
a glorious mix of
chandeliers and art in
a tasteful lobby with a
welcoming staff that
leads to a bright atrium
anchored with a grand
piano.
It is welcoming and elegant. A perfect
place to call home.
The rehabilitation of the former Avado
Brands corporate headquarters by the
building’s owner Pat
Reams has been a
study in repurpose.
After the building’s
purchase, Reams
said, he contemplated
an appropriate
use for the
47,000 square foot,
four story structure.
Given its proximity
to the multitude
of locally owned
restaurants and
shops in downtown
Madison, including
Reams’ Madison
Chophouse Grille,
the site location
couldn’t be better.
Given the location,
Reams said,
and the lack of an assisted living community
in Madison, creating The Madison
Assisted Living made sense. The Madison
Assisted Living gives residents an opportunity
to enjoy an
active, vibrant lifestyle
while remaining close
to family and friends,
local civic clubs and
churches.
At full capacity The
Madison Assisted Living
can be a comfortable,
familiar residence
for 50 residents in 36
units. The units are
rented with an openended
lease with a
30-day notification of
cancellation.
The renovated space
includes units ranging
from a 300 square foot
studio to a 800 square
foot one-bedroom.
All units have granite
countertops and
American Disability Act (ADA) certified
bathrooms and individual climate control.
Reams has taken the building, constructed
in 1999, and created an in-town enclave
of rooms with wood trim and stunning
flooring.
Residents enjoy an all-inclusive lifestyle
that includes three meals a day and homemade
snacks from Dietary Coordinator
and Morgan County native Lenita Franklin.
The facility provides 24-hour assisted care
seven days a week and includes a specialized
staff
of certified
nursing
assistants
(CNA),
certified
medical
assistants
(CMA)
and
licensed
practical
nurses
(LPN). The
facility also
includes
laundry
services
and housekeeping.
On the
Garden
floor is an expansive beauty salon, chapel,
arts and crafts room, and specialty
physician services. There is also a Theatre
for movie nights and football socials to be
watched on an 84” television.
Alicia Ramfos, Executive Director is very
excited about being a part of The Madison
Assisted Living. Alicia added, “The
residents have all bonded and are a huge
family. We are looking to grow and add
additional family members, so call for a
tour, 706-343-9991.” The Madison Assisted
Living is a perfect place to call home.
