the retail shelves are housewares, jewelry,
baby gifts, jellies and coffee. More items,
including seasonal and holiday décor are
on order, the owners say.
Inside, the small shop has bar seating,
and the owners say they’re planning to
place tables outside.
The couple’s shop opened Oct. 9, the
same day as the annual chalk art festival,
Chalktoberfest, opened on the Square.
The Beattons said though they were
extremely busy because of foot traffic from
the festival, opening then meant more
exposure.
We’re still processing it to be perfectly
honest,” Andrew Beatton said, adding that
he and his wife have even come to know
their neighbors at home because of their
new business ownership. “It’s been really,
really fun, and we are blown away by how
warm everyone is and welcoming and
patient with all of our kinks we’re trying to
iron out.”
Tuesday Coffee + Shoppe is open from 7
a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4
p.m. on weekends.
Tony award-winner and
Broadway actor joins City
Springs Theatre Company
as artistic director
Tony award winner and Broadway actor
Shuler Hensley has been selected as City
Springs Theatre Company’s new Artistic
Director.
The Tony award winner has been an
integral part of the company from its
inception in 2017 but will now take on a
more prominent role, working closely with
recently named Executive Director, Natalie
DeLancey.
Hensley, a native of Marietta, is a
distinguished, multi-award-winning
Broadway, Off-Broadway, film and
television actor. Hensley most recently
starred on Broadway as Tom Kettle in Jez
Butterworth’s “The Ferryman,” directed by
Sam Mendes and Two Plays in Rep at the
Cort Theatre: “Waiting for Godot” and “No
Man’s Land,” opposite Sir Ian McKellen and
Sir Patrick Stewart.
He has also starred as Charlie in
Royal Theatre Bath’s critically acclaimed
production of “The Whale,” the Monster
in the original Broadway and West End
productions of Mel Brook’s “Young
Frankenstein,” Javert in Broadway’s “Les
Misérables,” and Jud Fry in “Oklahoma!”
which earned him the Tony, Drama Desk,
Outer Critics Circle and Olivier awards.
Hensley has also starred as Oscar in
