“People say, ‘Dave you can’t stop
buying!’ Well, selling is anti-climatic,”
he laughs. “Selling is one thing, and
that’s how you can buy. But we just
can’t wait for something to come in
that door.”
“There is no way I can stop
being in the business, because I’m
going to get calls at my home … If
somebody calls me and they’ve got a
Lamar Dodd that they want to sell
for $2,500, and we know we can get
$10,000 for it — you think I’m not
gonna buy the damn thing? No!”
Knoke says with a coy smile.
“I’ll never get out of this
business, you know that.”
