Claim God’s Promises
When you are facing tribulation,
sometimes all you have are the
promises of God; but they will be
enough. As long as you keep those
promises alive within you, nothing
can defeat you. Paul said, For I am
persuaded, that neither death, nor
life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things present,
nor things to come, Nor height,
nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from
the love of God, which is in Christ
Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38,39).
Every promise in God’s Word
is as strong as God Himself, so
don’t worry about what you don’t
have; just be willing to furnish what
you do have and trust God. Being
confident of this very thing, that
he which hath begun a good work
in you will perform it until the
day of Jesus Christ Rapture Day
(Philippians 1:6). Faithful is he
that calleth you, who also will do
it (I Thessalonians 5:24).
This is the final hour, and God
wants to use every person He can to
finish His work; so stop limiting Him
by looking to yourself and to what
you think you don’t have. Just look
to God and let Him use you and what
you have no matter how insignificant
it may look. You are just human,
but God is the God of all flesh; and
nothing is too hard for Him. Behold,
I am the LORD, the God of all
flesh: is there anything too hard
for me (Jeremiah 32:27)? When you
try to figure things out by how things
look in the natural, you limit God.
Trust God’s Plan
When God called Joshua to lead
the people in tearing down the
walls of Jericho, it seemed like an
impossible task; but he didn’t look
to himself. Joshua looked to God who
said, See, I have given into thine
hand Jericho, and the king thereof,
and the mighty men of valour. And
ye shall compass the city, all ye
men of war, and go round about
the city once. Thus shalt thou do six
days. And seven priests shall bear
before the ark seven trumpets of
rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye
shall compass the city seven times,
and the priests shall blow with the
trumpets. And it shall come to pass,
that when they make a long blast
with the ram’s horn, and when ye
hear the sound of the trumpet, all
the people shall shout with a great
shout; and the wall of the city
shall fall down flat, and the people
shall ascend up every man straight
before him (Joshua 6:2–5). And that
is exactly what happened. Joshua didn’t
have a heavy heart when God gave him
that plan, and he didn’t try to figure
things out. He trusted God, and God
brought a great victory.
When you are facing a bad situation
or carrying a heavy burden, do you look
to God; or do you look to yourself and
other people? Jesus said, Come unto
me, all ye that labour and are heavy
laden, and I will give you rest
(Matthew 11:28). Look to the One who
really cares for you. Casting all your
care upon him; for he careth for
you (I Peter 5:7). The Bible says, Let
us therefore come boldly unto the
throne of grace, that we may obtain
mercy, and find grace to help in
time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
Vengeance Belongs to God
When someone hurts you, do you
look to friends or relatives for help; or
do you look to the One who can heal
your broken heart? He healeth the
broken in heart, and bindeth up
their wounds (Psalm 147:3). God
