FREQUETLY ASKED QUESTIOS
How do I order a Vintage Door?
Call us toll-free at 800-787-2001 and speak to one of our door specialists. We prefer to take your door order the old-fashioned way, by
phone. You may also choose to submit your order online. In each case, a customer service representative will assist you with all of the final
details. A formal order proposal will be submitted to you for your review & final approval, which includes a drawing of your door(s) and itemized
pricing. You can feel confident that every order will be handled with the utmost personal attention from the very beginning of the
quote/order process, throughout production and ultimately delivery.
How long will it take to get my door?
Please contact us for a current lead time. Screen/storm doors, interior/exterior doors carry separate lead times. Remember, your door is carefully
handcrafted from scratch, according to your specifications, which takes a reasonable amount of time. But, it will be well worth the wait!
How do I know which door style is right for my home?
The best place to start is with your own personal tastes and preferences. If historical or architectural accuracy are important to you, it can be
fun and informative to research your home’s architectural style. Of course, you can always speak with one of our reps for advice as well!
Do you finish your doors?
Your door will arrive unfinished in your choice of wood. We do offer a priming service for our screen/storm doors. We will send along finishing
instructions with your door shipment, or you may review our recommendations online. We recommend you finish your door within a 1-2
week period after receipt and store your untreated door in a warm and dry (moisture-free) environment until then. Leaving the untreated door
exposed to moisture, elements or weather will void any warranty on our door products.
Can I visit Vintage Doors?
Sure - we’d welcome a visit. Just give us a call and we’ll give you directions to our showroom in the 1000 Islands Region of Northern New York.
Is there a dealer in my area?
We do not have any dealers featuring our products. You would be ordering your new door factory direct from our facility here in New York,
which saves you time & money! Contact our knowledgeable sales staff with any questions about our products, your project, or the order
process. You can feel confident in your purchase with the amount of time and attention we can devote to your project.
What is the cost for a Vintage Door?
There are quite a few variables that go into this determination. The size of your door, wood type, hardware options, custom specifications and
design preference directly impacts pricing. We are very quick and accurate with our quotes - call us with any questions!
Can I receive samples of wood?
Yes. Simply call us at 800-787-2001. There is a nominal charge for samples, which will be credited to your door order.
How do you ship your doors?
It depends on the size of your order. Your order is shipped fully insured via common carrier (FedEx or Yellow Freight), possibly FedEx
Ground if your door is small enough, and delivered directly to your specific residence, business or renovation site. Just as we take great pride
in building your door, we go through great lengths in our shipping, packaging and crating methods to ensure that your door arrives safely, in
perfect condition. You must inspect your shipment for defects or damage at the time of delivery and report any problems at this time. Failure
to do so will release YesterYear’s Vintage Doors from any liability. We will contact you prior to releasing your shipment to discuss delivery.
What is your Warranty?
We stand behind our products. Your door is built to last, constructed with time-honored techniques, superior materials and old world craftsmanship.
Because our products may be exposed to exterior conditions, they will experience normal wear and tear associated with finished
exterior wooden products and hardware. Your door is 100% solid wood and you must follow through with the recommended wood choices for
your location/application and finishing instructions provided to you. If there is a defect in the material or workmanship, we’ll take care of you.
Your door comes with a (1) year warranty on the door only, which covers warping and joint failure. If a problem occurs you must submit proof
of purchase and photos to us. Our expert craftsman will evaluate the product and determine whether or not a replacement or repair is necessary.
A copy of our complete warranty can be furnished upon request and is available at www.VintageDoors.com.
What is your return policy?
There are no returns or refunds on our handcrafted solid wood doors. All orders are made-to-order (considered custom) and therefore cannot
be returned for a refund. Hardware returns must accompany their original receipt and are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Special hardware
orders are non-returnable. If your order has an apparent shortage or concealed damage, please contact us within 1-3 days of receipt.
Defective merchandise must be reported within thirty (30) days of receipt. Proof of purchase is required.
