Meet the author of No One’s Home, a dark
tale of a mansion haunted by tragedy and
a family trapped by lies, when the Shaker
Historical Society sponsors Pulley’s book
launch. Pulley is a structural engineer
turned novelist who lives in Northeast
Ohio. No One’s Home is her fourth novel.

Meet the Author: Susan Orlean
Shaker Library and the Shaker Schools
Foundation present Susan Orlean, SHHS
grad and author of the book The Library.
Orlean is a journalist and author who has
been a staff writer for The New Yorker
since 1992. She has contributed articles
to many magazines including Vogue,
Rolling Stone, Esquire, and Outside. Her
1998 book The Orchid Thief was made into
the film “Adaptation.” Following her talk,
Orlean’s books will be available for sale.
