SG-173 BUTYL SYNTHETIC RUBBER Used in gloves requiring high permeation resistance to gas vapors, water vapors, and many toxic substances as well as exposure to ketones (acetone, MEK, MIBK, etc.) and esters (amyl acetate, ethyl acetate, etc.) B-131R EVOH FILM Specialized plastic materials that are produced in sheet films and shaped by electronic welding into gloves and garments. Highly resistant to a wide range of chemicals including unknown hazardous material handling and cleanup. POLYETHYLENE Low-cost blown plastic film used in limited-use disposable gloves. Limited inherent strength other than as a short-term barrier. SSG DEH-580 NEOPRENE SYNTHETIC RUBBER The original oil-resistant synthetic rubber used in liquid proof gloves. Also resistant to a wide range of acids, caustics, and some solvents. Good cut and puncture resistance. 6780R VINYL Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the basic plastic used in low-cost seamless disposable gloves and as a glove coating or reinforcing material. Excellent abrasion resistance, limited cut and puncture resistance.
