The Williams Grocers building is a
treasure trove of faded painted on
signage. The building, now houses
The Herb Shop on Broad, 103
Broad St., and Pullen’s Ordinary
Bicycles, 105 Broad St. The faint
remains of a Georgia & Alabama
Steamboat Company bilboard can
be seen at the corner of Broad
Street and Bridgepoint Plaza, along
with a faded Schnapp’s logo near
the rear of the building.
A Lindale Manufacturing
Inc. sign still marks a Park
Avenue entrance to the
mill that operated in the
community from 1896 to
September of 2001.
