Drop Ship is the process whereby the Printer (Hess) transports the mail directly to various NDC (national Distribution Centers) and SCF (Sectional Center facilities). The USPS offers discounts for the printer to handle the distribution of Standard Mail and some Periodical. Hess will evaluate the amount of mail qualifying for these facilities, compare the USPS discount vs. the cost of transportation, and determine if we can save our clients money by offering this.
