TrackMyMail.com – (note older terminology is: Planet code) HPS can imbed a sequence of numeric codes within your IMB barcode that can individually recognize your piece. Each time the piece of mail travels through the USPS automation equipment, the IMB barcode is captured. The database saves your Mailer ID, along with the coding. This information is available by contracting with the USPS and designing a system to pull the data from the USPS. TrackMyMail.com has already set-up this link and designed a number of key reports to help you analyze the data. For more information and sample reports, feel free to visit their website: www.trackmymail.com a. You can always bypass using a vendor and Apply for USPS IMb Tracing. The setup process is somewhat drawn out, but in the end it can save you a couple dollars if you have the staff to invest the time: https://mailtracking.usps.com/mtr/landing/resources/confirm/landingApp ly.jsp b. Unfortunately this does not apply to Parcels. For IMBp mailings, Hess will forward all tracking information back to you. Customers can lookup individual packages via the USPS website. 5. Drop Ship – by utilizing drop shipment (whether direct or through Co-Mail) we drop your mail closer to the point of delivery. This makes for less “touches” by the USPS and therefore (through experience) we can give you a pretty good expected window for delivery. 6. USPS Delivery Confirmation - Available for: First-Class Mail parcels, Priority Mail, Standard Mail machinable and irregular parcels (electronic option only), Package Services parcels, and Parcel Select. In other words – on packages only. There are “electronic” options available at no cost, but these basically incorporate sharing data with the USPS and the infrastructure to do this. Retail options run at least $.75/pkg or more. This is not a recommended service for bulk mailings. To understand these, and more, options – contact your HPS sales representative or account manager. Drop Ship is the process whereby the Printer (Hess) transports the mail directly to various NDC (national Distribution Centers) and SCF (Sectional Center facilities). The USPS offers discounts for the printer to handle the distribution of Standard Mail and some Periodical. Hess will evaluate the amount of mail qualifying for these facilities, compare the USPS discount vs. the cost of transportation, and determine if we can save our clients money by offering this. Drop Ship (Destination Discounts) Made Easy NDC San Fran, CA 894-895, 897, 936- 969 SCF Oakland, CA 945-948 DDU Alameda, CA 94501-94502 Drop Ship can eliminate up to 1-2 delivery days.
