Atomic Mobile Kit
By: The Flinn Staff
Increase students’ knowledge of the elements
by modeling the atomic structure of the first 18 elements. Use this model to
explore the energy levels of electrons in the first three electron shells. This large
mobile can be displayed and modified to reinforce the concept of atomic structure
throughout the whole year. Kit includes two ceiling hangers, an erasable nucleus,
five solid metal rings used as electron shells, 22 rubber spheres in two colors
to represent electrons of s and p energy levels, a periodic table, and complete
instructions.

Atom Model
This large, colorful, 3-D foam model is the perfect visual aid for your discussions
about the atom. Removable pieces help illustrate the basic differences between
electrons, protons and neutrons. This versatile model can be used to show how
ions form, why electron energy orbitals exist, and even chemical bonding. More
advanced classes can take advantage of the graphical images of quarks and the
wave nature of subatomic particles. Includes 24-page instruction guide.

Atomic Orbital Model Set
Build 14 basic s, p and d atomic orbitals with this colorful, three-dimensional
model set. Use the pink and purple pear-shaped models to represent the lobes of
the p and d atomic orbitals. Represent atomic nuclei with opaque white spheres.
Each model comes with its own colorless transparent base for display purposes.
Set contains 14 easy-to-assemble atomic orbitals—one 1s, one 2s, three 2p, five
3d, one unit with one 2s plus three 2p orbitals as well as one each of an sp, sp2
and sp3 hybrid orbital. Components are of durable plastic for years of classroom
demonstration and display. Approximate model heights including base range from
5–9 cm. Instruction sheet and a plastic storage case are included.

BRIGHT Atom™ Model
Revolutionary, award-winning BRIGHT Atom™ gives every student the opportunity
to “construct” their knowledge of the atom in an intuitive, hands-on, and selfevident
manner! Each model contains two surfaces to build atoms, 30 protons, 30
neutrons, and 30 electrons. Students manipulate the components of the model to
build atoms, isotopes, and ions. Stackable.

Elementary Atomic Model Set
By: The Flinn Staff
All parts are interchangeable—materials may
be easily assembled to build models of the first ten elements, including ions and
isotopes. Solid metal rings serve as electron shells that hold rubber “electrons.”
Red pom-pom “protons” and black pom-pom “neutrons” are held together in one of
four clear plastic “nuclei” spheres. The model stands about 12" tall. Some assembly
required. Additional nuclei can be created, if desired, using the AP6875 Atomic Model
Nuclei Set, which includes enough spheres and pom-poms to make four nuclei
(without metal rings and stand).
