Living in Shaker Heights
n Neighbor #1 A gratitude
station is currently set up in
front of Fernway Elementary School
to write notes of thanks to the first
responders and helpers. It will be in
front of the school today, Thursday, and
Friday from 9am-9pm. There is also blank
paper for those who would like to write
a personal message or draw a picture.
Copies of the signed poster boards
will be delivered to the municipalities
that helped (including Beachwood,
Bedford, Cleveland Heights, Chagrin
Falls, Highland Heights, Lakewood,
Mayfield Village, Pepper Pike, Orange
Village, Richmond Heights, South Euclid,
University Heights, Wickliffe, and
others) as well as Shaker Heights Police
Department, Principal Chris Hayward,
and other community helpers. Shaker
Heights Fire Department will be given
the original along with a bag of cards (also being collected at the gratitude station).
Thanks to all those who have already signed. #FernwayForever Neighbor #2 Thanks for organizing this!
Neighbor #3 I can barely handle how fantastic this is. Neighbor #4 There have already been so many
people that have come to the station. Besides current families, there are those who graduated decades
ago, some with babies that will attend four or five years from now, and those without children. Common
love for this school. #fernwayforever Neighbor #5 It’s things like this that make Shaker special. This is
