Harbin Clinic invests in a healthy Rome with
new medical facilities, services and
community wellness initiatives
From Harbin Clinic
With nearly 150 years in medical practice,
Harbin Clinic has solidly established itself as
the most comprehensive healthcare provider in
Rome and Northwest Georgia. The intention to
care completely for their patients is evident in
how Harbin has grown over those years, bringing
the most innovative medical services to the
region and consistently building their involvement
in the communities they serve.
Harbin Clinic is home to more than 250
providers across 40 specialties, with plans for
continued improvement to the patient experience
and accessibility already underway. Such
development is evident in projects like the new
medical building currently under construction
at 550 John Maddox Drive.
The two-floor, 40,900 square-foot building
will provide a new home for Harbin Clinic
Pediatrics Rome and Harbin Clinic Ansley Park
Pediatrics with room for growth. The building
expands the Harbin Clinic campus between
Redmond Road and the North Rome Connector
which is also home to the Harbin Clinic 504
building, housing cardiology and urology, and
the 550 building that houses multi-specialty
medical services.
“We’re all very excited about our new pediatrics location,”
says Dr. Todd Kelley, department chair for Harbin Clinic
Pediatrics. “The new building will come with highly improved
patient access, plenty of parking and more space. Our
patients will continue to receive the world-class healthcare
they’ve come to associate with Harbin Clinic at our new
address.”
Other developments include the recent move for Harbin
Clinic Orthopedics Rome to the 1825 building on Turner
McCall Blvd. The move provides convenient access to imaging
and X-Ray services and improved facilities including
on-site procedure rooms and orthotics services available in
the office. The new space also highlights the unique expertise
and services offered from the Hand Center.
“We are excited for how our new office allows us to improve
the care we provide our patients,” says Orthopedic
Hand Surgeon Dr. Stephen Klasson. “Since Dr. Jarrad Barber
joined our Hand Center team, we have been able to greatly
increase the services we provide, and the new location will
allow us even more flexibility.”
In addition to enhancements to medical services and facilities,
Harbin Clinic continues to invest in wellness initiatives
to promote health and vitality across the community. The
annual Harbin Clinic Leprechaun-a-thon 5K event, the Walk
with a Doc program, smoking cessation workshops, the Living
Well chronic disease self-management education series
and ongoing employee blood drives are just a few examples
of how Harbin Clinic cares completely for its community
outside the walls of its medical offices.
