Jeanette’s business model is built on the
following credo: “The customer who buys our
products will receive the best products possible
at a fair price”. We are proud of what we do
here and we believe in USA Built to Last and
Last, and no matter what it has to look great too! In 2004, Jeanette was
honored to be named Goodguys 2004 Woman of the Year
2005
Flaming River continues to
move forward, always striving
towards new product offerings
for Racing, Hot Rods, Muscle
Cars, and Classic trucks and cars. This year, we committed
ourselves to developing our own Power Rack and Pinion. For
years the industry had been using rebuilds and the supply
of cores was clearly not going to support future demand.
We built the first of its kind “New Hot Rod Power Rack and
Pinion” – the new rack
and pinion was fitted
to our 65-70 Mustang
Rack and Pinion Cradle
Kit with full turning
radius and 6-1/8” of
travel, and it’s one of
a kind. We build them, we test them, and yes, they are
repairable. All built in Berea, Ohio, in the USA

Many car enthusiasts dream of buying or repairing a hot rod.
Having a 32 Roadster is just plain old American. Our Roadster,
Hard Candy, was built by Leonard Lopez and is unique in many
ways. First, it is a rack and pinion straight-axle car uniquely
designed by Lopez, with Flaming River Electric Steering. Hard
Candy is LS powered with a Dominator front axle and a
Flaming River steering system – a run-wild test car to be sure!
Hard Candy is a part of the
Flaming River family, and
often on display at shows or
parked in our showroom
2008
At Flaming River, we feel
that Hot Rodding Has No
Limits, and we know that
not all Hot Rods are cars.
This one was completely
built at Flaming River, by
Flaming River Employees.
We truly enjoyed the project and it’s the only Hot Rod we ever
sold when it went to a very good home in 2018
2015
As we mentioned earlier,
our goal was to build as
much of our products as
we possibly could onsite at
Flaming River, so in 2015
we added ‘Rosie’ – our
first Robot to help with our
welding processes. In
2018, our second Robot
‘Charlie’ will be brought in to keep our machining processes moving
forward. Creativity and technology will lead the futur e of our company
2016
Showroom remodel! We are so proud of our
new hand-painted Hot Rod themed mural.
This is also the year we were honored with the
Street Scene Manufacturer of the Year award
