Rack and Pinion Cradle Systems: Mustang Bump Steer Kits
125 NEW! Bump Steer Kits
• Correct Bump Steer Isues
• Re-align your rack for
your current ride height
• Improve Your Vehicle’s Handling
Has the height of your suspension been altered from the original specs? Flaming River now has
a solution to improve your handling issue. Our new bump steer kit has been designed to assist
you in re-aligning your steering geometry. Simply replace your current outer tie rod ends with the
new tie rod ends, using the provided spacers to adjust the angle as needed. These adjustable
outer tie rod end replacements feature 6061 T-6 aluminum, fully machined sleeve with a black
anodized finish, a Teflon lined 5/8” heim joint and 4140 steel pin. The pin is machined with the
correct taper for the spindle. Teflon-lined heim reduces noise and does not require lubrication.

Viewed from the front of the car, the tie rods should be parallel
to the A-arms. Figure A shows the tie rod too high. Need to
add more spacers between the spindle and tie rod end. Figure
B is an example of the correct spacing. Figure C shows the tie
rod too low. Need to add fewer spacers between the spindle
and tie rod end.
