CITY OF MARIETTA’S FOURTH
IN THE PARK CELEBRATION
Come out and celebrate America’s
independence as the City of Marietta hosts
the Fourth in the Park celebration. The
Independence Day celebration begins with
the Marietta Freedom Parade that starts at
Roswell Street Baptist Church and continues
west on Roswell Street, then north on East
Park Square past Glover Park, then down
Cherokee Street and ends at North Marietta
Parkway. The parade features marching units
from local bands, civic organizations, beauty
pageant queens, scouts, local businesses
of all types, and much more. After the
parade there will be free live concerts and
entertainment, food, arts and crafts, carnival
games, and of course, fireworks. The event
starts at 10 a.m. on July 4 on the Marietta
Square and continues until dark.
COBB TASTING FESTIVAL
At this festival, guests have the opportunity to
sample all types of foods—American, Asian,
soul, Italian, vegan, Puerto Rican, French,
German, Jamaican, carnival and more. All
samples will range in price from $1 - $8. The
festival includes food tents, carts and trucks,
local and national vendors, a Kidzone area
including a bounce house, games, and facepainting,
train rides, live music, giveaways,
and much more. The festival is July 9 from 11
a.m. to 7 p.m. at Jim R. Miller Park and Event
Center.
CELESTE BARBER: FINE, THANKS
Hailed as the “Australian Queen of Comedy”,
Celeste’s original celebrity parody Instagram
account has attracted over 8.1 million
followers. In 2019 she released her bestselling
book ‘Challenge Accepted’. In 2020,
she won the AACTA (The Australian Academy
of Cinema and Television Arts Awards) for
Favorite Comedy Performer of the Decade
and in 2021, took out a Webby Special
Achievement award. Now, she’s coming to
Georgia to share her best-selling humor and
charming but rowdy jokes. The show starts
July 10 at 7 p.m. in the Coca-Cola Roxy at the
Battery Atlanta.
ATLANTA SUMMER ANTIQUE GUN AND
INTERNATIONAL MILITARY SHOW
The Atlanta Summer Antique Gun and
International Military Show will feature a
variety of antique guns, civil war collectibles,
U.S. and foreign military arms, military
collectibles of all periods, books and more.
The show is at IAMAW Union Hall, 1032 S.
Marietta Parkway Marietta, GA 30060 on July
15 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and July 16 from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are sold at the door.
THE SOUTHERNFRIED GAMING EXPO
The Southern-Fried Gaming Expo features
more than 300 arcade and pinball machines,
dozens of new and retro console systems,
full-sized arcade games, a massive tabletop
library, RPGs, wrestling, music, tournaments,
a vendor expo, panel sessions, guest
speakers, and more. The expo lasts three
days, kicking o July 15 from 3 p.m. to 12
p.m., following on July 16 from 10 a.m. to 12
p.m., and ending July 17 from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and
Cobb Galleria Convention Center.
SAD SUMMER FEST
Sad Summer Festival has announced its 2022
lineup and dates. The festival will feature
Waterparks, Neck Deep, Mayday Parade,
State Champs and many other iconic artists
joining the stacked lineup. The cross-country
festival, hosted by Journeys, will take place
between July 8 and August 5, and is making
a stop in Georgia. The fest starts July 16
at 2:30 p.m. in the Coca-Cola Roxy at the
Battery Atlanta.
