Just a short drive from Lake Oconee, another
quaint town boasts its own Holiday Home
Tour. In nearby Statham, outside of Athens,
The Georgia Club Foundation holds its
annual Christmas Tour of Homes on Sunday,
Dec. 11, from noon to 4 p.m. at The Georgia
Club, 1050 Chancellors Drive, Statham, Ga.
Visitors can begin celebrating the holiday
season while touring five tastefully decorated
homes and gathering decorative ideas to
adorn their own home – the perfect way to
get into the holiday spirit.
Tickets are $50 in advance at
TheGeorgiaClub.com and proceeds benefit
the Sparrow’s Nest which provides help for
those in need to find a hot meal or a bag of
groceries, showers and clothing, and The
Oconee Area Resource Council, a part of the
Georgia Family Connection Partnership, an
initiative committed to making measurable
improvements for children and families in
Oconee.
Since its establishment in 2006, The Georgia
Club Foundation has distributed over $1
million to local charities and organizations, all
the while thoroughly screening requests to be
certain our donations personally reach those
most in need. The Georgia Club Foundation
is the philanthropic arm of The Georgia Club,
a residential country club community.
