there’s a multitude of courses more suitable to the varying
abilities of Georgia’s common-man golfers and their
bank accounts.
From state-run courses oering some of the most
beautiful vistas and scenery within an hour’s drive, to
area public and semi-private courses that have stepped
up to challenge the big boys on Lake Oconee, there’s
plenty of golf to be played.
According to the U.S. Golf Association, more than
three-quarters of all golfers are making their way to
public courses, and Georgia’s links crowd certainly follows
suit. e combination of nearly year-round warm
weather and the sheer number of courses available to
Georgia golfers continues to place the state as one of
