Twist are very similar to the standing
prayer twist as it uses most of the same
muscle groups.
1. Stand tall with hands in Prayer
Pose. Bring the left leg back as
you bend your right knee.
2. Lower your back knee to the mat
while keeping your toes tucked
under for better balance. Check
your core and strengthen your legs
for stability.
3 . Take a deep inhale and on exhale ,
rotate the torso to the left or right
and place the elbow outside the
opposite knee. Takes a second
inhale and exhale and twist a little
deeper and press the elbow into
the knee.
To safely come out of the pose, place
a hand on either side of the front foot,
lift the back knee up and pull the back
foot in to meet the front foot.
