STANDING
Optimal rotation in a golf swing is essential for consistent
striking, power, distance and control. As any golfer
knows, if just one of these is out of sync, your game
could really suffer. This pose is more challenging because
it requires upper and lower body strength and stability
combined with balance and a strong core. While this
pose is considered a more advanced pose, some of the
most challenging poses reap the highest rewards.
1. Stand with both feet together. Take your left foot
back and bend your right knee to come into a high
forward lunge. Arms are straight out and gripping

2. Rotate shoulders completely to the side, keeping
head and hips square forward while remaining in a
high lunge.
To release the pose, step the back foot in and rotate
shoulders forward to bring the club down. Once pose
is released, stand straight, take three deep breaths and
repeat pose on opposite side. Options in the pose can
rotate from side to side or can rotate and hold pose for
10 seconds
