The Standing Prayer
Twist Pose is a tight core
twist that strengthens
the thigh, glute and
back muscles and
aes n etoficaton
and digestion. From a
golfer’s perspective, the
Prayer Twist increases
spinal mobility and
stretches the chest and
shoulder muscles for
maximized movement.
1. Stand with both feet together
with hands in Prayer Pose. Begin
bending the knees and tucking the
glutes.
2. Continue to bend the knees and
lower the glutes while keeping the
head up and pressing the palms
firly together.
3 . Take a deep inhale and on exhale,
rotate the torso to the left or right
and places the elbow outside of
the opposite knee. Take a second
inhale and exhale and twist a little
deeper and press the elbow into
the knee.
4 . To take the pose a step further, you
can release the palms and take one
han to the oor an one han
to the sky. Looking up will always
make a pose more challenging.
