Always follow Jesus.

powers of the world, and Jesus said it
will abide forever. Heaven and earth
shall pass away: but my words
shall not pass away (Luke 21:33).
The Word tells you that you can be
made new, so you can have feet of
iron and stand in truth and divine love.
If you have feet of clay, you may
have the sword of the world; but that
sword will only cause trouble. Peter
had feet of clay and the sword of the
world on the night Jesus was arrested
in the Garden of Gethsemane. Then
Simon Peter having a sword drew
it, and smote the high priest’s
servant, and cut off his right ear...
Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put
up thy sword into the sheath:
the cup which my Father hath
given me, shall I not drink it
(John 18:10,11)? Then Jesus, with
His divine power and compassion, put
that servant’s ear back in place. And
he touched his ear, and healed him
(Luke 22:51).
Earlier that same night, Jesus had
asked Peter, James and John to pray
with Him in the garden. Tarry ye
here, and watch with me (Matthew
26:38). Jesus went a little further to
pray on His own; and about an hour
later, he cometh unto the disciples,
and findeth them asleep, and saith
unto Peter, What, could ye not
watch with me one hour (Matthew
26:40)? They could not because they
had feet of clay.
Jesus had gone the extra mile for
those disciples again and again, yet
they couldn’t stay awake and pray
with Him for one hour. It is so sad that
Jesus had to go through that horrible
night all alone.
Be an Overcomer
If you have feet of clay, you won’t
stay awake with Jesus in this last hour
either because you won’t have the
strength you need to pray or to take
time with God and His Word like you
should. When Adam and Eve sinned,
God threw them out of Eden; and they
were left with nothing but feet of clay
that carried them to the wrong places
and a body of clay with no power in it.
They had no grace and no overcoming
strength.
It takes feet of iron to keep you
moving in the right direction and to let
no person or devil discourage you. No
matter how rugged the road is, you
will have all the strength you need to
overcome any kind of persecution.
Feet of iron will take you to Calvary
and help you know Jesus in all of His
sufferings as Paul did. He said, That I
may know him, and the power of
his resurrection, and the fellowship
of his sufferings (Philippians 3:10).
The old Paul had feet of clay that led
him in all the wrong directions; but
when he found the power of Christ’s
resurrection, he left everything
behind and followed Jesus all the way.
Therefore if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are
become new (II Corinthians 5:17).
What kind of feet do you have
today? If you have any clay in your
feet, you are in trouble. You are not
obeying the Lord in everything, and
you don’t want His divine will because
there are times when you still want
your way. When you have feet of iron,
you will always want God’s way. He
will be the love of your life, and your
greatest delight will be standing for
Him.
