All told, the chamber has tallied 30 expansions or relocations in
the past year, resulting in over 3,400 new jobs for the county. Mason
said the chamber, through its SelectCobb program, has another 65
projects it’s working to secure for the future.
Mason also agged other major projects like Relay Payments,
which is moving to the Cobb Galleria and adding 200 jobs to the
Cumberland area. Chicken Salad Chick, a fast-casual chain with
dozens of locations across the southeast and midwest, is also moving
to Cumberland.

month to bring 225 jobs, starting at $15 per hour, to Austell within
the next two years.
Mason credits Cobb’s continued success to the strength of its
labor pool.
“Workforce has been the No. 1 reason companies choose Cobb,
and we have a lot of great things going for us with our universities,
and our college and career academies, and so much else — as well
as great organizations like WorkSource Cobb,” she said. “ey do
a lot of dierent training programs. So we have many great things
going for us.”
