This issue of Rome Life Magazine seems
to be the one everyone’s waiting for. And with
good reason.
This is our Best Of Rome issue.
For months, Rome and Floyd County residents
voted online for their favorite restaurant,
doctor, car dealership, boutique, laundromat,
hotel, law firm, veterinarian, real estate agent
and dozens upon dozens of other categories of
professions, businesses and services.
They voted thousands of times and these
pages contain all the winners and runners up
from this year’s competition.
So as you’re scrolling through the pages,
rememeber that folks and businesses had to
first be nominated for the competition and
depending on their category, had to garner a
certain amount of nominations just to get on
the ballot.
And then after that, it was up to voters to
choose the winners.
But this issue also contains some pretty cool
features as well as the results of the Best Of
contest.
Since the holidays are here we wanted to
include some useful information. If you want to
be the host with the most or just the favorite
guest at a holiday party, bring a beautiful and
tasty charcuterie board. We spoke to former
international event planner Molly Steeves about
how to put together the perfect charcuterie for
your next event.
Food is big around the holidays so area cook
Amy Fischer provides us with some delectable
recipes that are sure to have your table filled
with good food and good company during the
holidays.
Broad Street’s Do Good Boutique has been
striving to market Fair Trade and socially
responsible products for six years. We spoke
to owner Renee Webb to find out how she’s
managed to do that.
An Amazing Race-type adventure and winter
reading recommendations are also inside this
issue.
We hope you enjoy.
