Austell K-9 Officer John Poulk Bondi training in Garrett Middle School
gym with the newest member of the police force, a yellow Labrador
retriever named Bondi. Bondi has located marijuana under one of 10
identical boxes. The photograph is from a series titled “A Nose for
Crime,” printed in the Thursday, July 17, 1997 edition of the Marietta
Daily Journal. Kellee Kars owner Wane Hilliard bought the dog for the
police department.
Austell Police Officer Edward Reeves and K9 Bane, a three-year-old Dutch Shepherd. K9 Bane
was purchased in August by the Georgia Police K9 Foundation for the Austell Police
Department to replace K9 Jerry Lee.
