to the film and to the village.
Most never knew of Henry River
Mill Village until the film hit the
big screen. However, when the
72-acre property (21 mill houses
plus store) went on the real estate
market, it was Calvin Reyes who
was drawn to the property, not
because of the movie, but because
of its history. After a first-look
in August 2017, he closed on the
property in October, moving forward
with what many considered
an impossible venture.

“The importance here is the story,”
proclaims Calvin Reyes, owner,
dreamer and renovator. “We want
everything to be living museums,
so the décor and everything tells
the story of the family members
who grew up in this house.”
