FALL 2021 | LAKE OCONEE LIVING 33
With its asymmetrical roof details
and sheer wall of windows,
this home has quickly
become one of the most distinctive at
Reynolds Lake Oconee.
Despite its overall traditional architectural
style, DreamBuilt utilized
fresh, updated details in the construction
of the home including the asymmetrical
barrel ceiling over the master
bedroom and the massive self-supporting
steel system of 15-foot triple windows
across the front of the house.
“I love that you can see all the way
through to the lake,” says Paige Ruhl of
DreamBuilt. “That’s what lets the inside
help define the outside because you can
see exactly what that structure is doing.”
The homeowners have dubbed their
new residence The Arc House, a moniker
they settled upon for several reasons.
First, they explained, the arc is the
home’s signature design feature with the
asymmetrical arc ceiling design in the
master bedroom, repeated on the kitchen
island and artwork, and barrel ceilings
in the game room, screened porch and
upstairs guest suite. “The arc name plays
tribute to the fantastic architect, builder,
designers, and decorators who brought
our vision to life,” they said.
Secondly, when said quickly, “Arc
House” sounds like “Our House,” which
is how they hope each of their guests feel
when they visit their home.
