Keep your eyes to the horizon
The photo that graces this page features some of my favorite things -- my two little
boys, mountain biking, and local trails.
That’s Alexander and Griffin gazing toward the horizon and I thought it was a pretty
appropriate photo to use in this magazine -- OUTLOOK Magazine.
This is the publication in which we take a look specifically at the growth our
community is experiencing as the new year begins. Needless to say, this
past year threw us for a loop and many sectors of the community took a hit.
But it’s in these difficult times that we learn what we’re made of. Rome and
Floyd County have continued to push forward despite a difficult year and as
the pages of this magazine will illustrate, we’re still moving forward despite
the pandemic still hanging over our heads.
We owe a great debt to our healthcare providers who have led the way
these past 12 months, and to our school teachers and officials who have
navigated the uncharted and very difficult waters of educating children
during a pandemic. Both healthcare and education sectors have had
to adapt and change quickly and come up with innovative ways
to do their jobs. We appreciate all your hard work.
As you read the features and opinion pieces in
this magazine, pay special attention to the ways in
which our business, technology, real estate,
healthcare and even our arts communities
are moving forward in 2021.
Rome and Floyd County are looking to
a brighter horizon.
