During 2021 there are plans
to hire new physicians in
the specialties of acute
care surgery, neurology,
neurosurgery, orthopedics,
psychology, rheumatology,
spine, pain management and
urology. As more people across
the region express interest in a
healthier lifestyle, Harbin Clinic
is adding to their offerings
with a weight management
program.
REDMOND
Redmond Regional Medical
Center continues to add new
cardiovascular services. A
hallmark since 1975, the Cardio
Lab has added MitraClip.
This next generation cardio
procedure uses a catheter,
through a vein in the leg to
implant the MitraClip to the
mitral valve to help it close
more completely. This new
procedure is much less
invasive therefore reducing
recovery time.
In 2021, WATCHMAN is being
added to the range of cardio
services. This one time
catheter based procedure
prevents clot formation and
avoids stroke damage related
to atrial fibrillation. It can also
reduce the need for blood
thinner therapy.
In their continued interest
in innovation Redmond
physicians participate in the
HCA Healthcare Research
Institute. Investigations
include medical devices,
medicines and structural heart
electrophysiology.
Dr. Robert Styperek is
implanting the Optimizer device
for patients needing treatment
for advanced heart failure,
effective in managing this
condition.
That’s not to mention
Redmond’s plan for an
obstetrics unit. The hospital’s
proposal calls for the
development of a $21.8 million
unit with nine labor, delivery,
recovery and postpartum
rooms, one cesarean section
room and a seven-bassinet
holding nursery with one
isolation bassinet.
