The Town Center CID was formed in 1997
to foster the massive potential of its 6.25
square mile district. Since then, the CID has
harnessed the area’s tremendous growth to
drive more than 75 improvement projects.
A creator, planner and problem solver all in
one, the CID is shaping a vibrant future for
Town Center.
In the CID’s vision, the district’s landscape
will feature thoughtful development—
walkable mixed-use sites with public
greenspaces, such as quality entertainment
venues, Class A office space and high-end
hospitality in strategic locations.
To improve travel to these destinations, the
CID promotes a multimodal transportation
network. Infrastructure projects, like
the Skip Spann Connector and South
Barrett Reliever, improve traffic flow and
create safer roadways. Additionally, the
Town Center Bikeshare encourages more
than 17,000 riders to take advantage of
multimodal travel opportunities.
Along with these initiatives come qualityof
life improvements like beautification.
The CID’s nonprofit partner, the Town
Center Community Alliance, helps actualize
enhancements to parks and trails to
cultivate a sense of place and community
engagement.
The Town Center CID is capturing its
momentum to make a lasting impact
through development, mobility and
quality of life improvements. Each gives
us a glimpse at its vision for Town Center’s
future—a prosperous business center,
a regional destination, and a place
people want to be.
