Looking toward 2021, county leaders said while
a return to normal may be a ways off, they expect
the year to hold a promise of recovery and renewal
for the business community. As more and more
Americans receive the COVID-19 vaccine, hardhit
industries like entertainment and tourism are
hoping for a comeback.
“2020 was an unprecedent year, and the travel &
tourism industry was hit especially hard. Through
every challenge that came our way, members of
our tourism community were resilient and found
unique ways to not only adapt their businesses, but
also support one another during such a challenging
time,” said Holly Quinlan, CEO of Cobb Travel
and Tourism. “As we look ahead to 2021, travel
is slowly starting to make a return, and as the
number one industry in Cobb, tourism will play a
critical role in helping to rebuild our economy. We
look forward to safely welcoming visitors back to
our community and seeing our hospitality partners
continue to recover.”
Businesses large and small faced down
unprecedented challenges last year. But as Cobb
County presses onward into 2021, it’s never
been more clear the county is welcoming to
entrepreneurs and CEOs alike, from the global
corporation to the mom and pop standby.
