4 lb avg; 8-9" x 5-6" neck. Uniform size and shape;
½ lb heavier than Waltham. Attractive smooth tan
exterior. Deep orange flesh with firm, fine grained
texture and sweet flavor. Good replacement for

4227 & 4227U Chieftain PMR F1 85 days. Unusually
strong against PM. Uniform 2.5 lb butternuts are attractive
mkt size. Compact plant. Good keeper with
fine grained flesh. Tolerant PM. Fresh Mkt, Storage.
4237 Early Butternut F1 82 days. Earliest Butternut
type we offer. Attractive fruits have excellent
flavor and texture; each provides two servings.
Hard rind assures at least 2 months of storage.
Heavy yielding, semi-bush, compact vines; open
habit. Commercial, Fresh Mkt.
4238 & 4238U Frisco F1 90 days. Large size and very
refined quality. Fruit is uniform, avg. 6 lb weight,
measures 8" x 3.5" neck, attractive tan rind and
bright orange flesh. Long thick neck provides high
proportion of edible quality flesh. Very sweet, nonstringy,
with smooth, firm texture.
4239 Honeybaby F1 90 days. Compact semi-bush Butternut
producing large numbers of handsized
6-7" fruits suitable for single servings.
Nationwide AAS trials reported avg yields at 8-9
per plant and 4-8 oz per fruit. Plant was reported
10" tall spreading 2-3 ft. Tan fruits with orange interior,
slightly bulb shaped, with sweet, nutty flavor.

for fresh market; avg. 2½ lb and 7". Fine textured

production of fruits free of crooked necks. Large
fruits have excellent flavor and color with uniform,
