The words and phrases from the selection form the base of the practice that follows. Step #2, Work on Structured Activities: Students “construct the text” from the passage using activities in word recognition, vocabulary, and higher-order comprehension that culminate in on-grade reading. Step #3, Earn Points and Improve: As students work through BrightFish Reading New York, they earn points that can be redeemed in the Games Store.
