Our Smart Senior program focuses on educating older adults and their caregivers about schemes, scams and fraudulent business practices. Older Americans are the fastest growing segment of the population to be victimized by identity fraud and Internet schemes. Every day con artists bombard the telephones, mailboxes and even the e-mail accounts of older Americans. Every year, scam artists bilk seniors out of billions of dollars because the senior demographic is perceived to be more trusting and easier to persuade.
