CL: How did you get into
photography?
Lerzo: I originally got into photography
about a year ago, when I bought
my first serious drone. The photography
capabilities on drones today are
truly incredible and I began to learn
the basics of photography while flying
that drone. There have been big leaps
in drone technology recently that
have made it more affordable to fly
with intuitive technology. It is crazy to
think that an object that fits in your
hand can fly up to 40 miles per hour,
record 4K video, create 3D models of
buildings and hover steadily enough
to capture long-exposure photos. I
love being able to capture a new
perspective of the world through
drones – especially in all of the
beautiful places that Georgia has to
offer.
It started as a hobby, but I soon
realized that there was a real market
for aerial photos and videos. Thus, my
company, Lerzo Aerial Productions,
was created in September of 2019. I
eventually branched out into using a
camera and venturing into the real
estate photography market. I really
enjoy taking aerial photos of landscapes
as well as small towns and big
cities around the southeast – especially
in Georgia. I really enjoy taking
photos of the Marietta Square. On
really clear days, you can see Atlanta
in the distance if you get up high
enough and some days you can see a
beautiful blanket of fog wrapping
around Kennesaw Mountain.
